Beneath this marble are deposited the mortal remains of Martha Filgate wife of T.P. Filgate of Lowther Lodge who departed this life in the blessed hope of a glorious immortality 19th December 1821 aged 54 years and was interred in this churchyard by her own desire

Shall flourish when she sleeps in dust
