Beneath this stone are deposited the mortal remains of Ann Elgee who departed this life the 12th day of March 1826 aged 70 years.
Also the remains of her sister Agnes Elgee who departed this life the 27th of Jany 1838 aged 75 years
the last surviving children of the late Mr Charles Elgee of Dundalk.
Bio:
Charles Elgee was a member of St. Nicholas' Vestry for many years. It is reported in the Grand Jury records, that Charles Elgee built the Court House. It is noted that he owner of 12 houses south west of Market Street, Dundalk.
