Sacred to the memory of Constable William Campion for some years a faithful and zealous member of the Dundalk Police force who departed this life on the 22nd. September 1851, aged 28 years. This stone has been erected by the Head and other constables of the Dundalk District in testimony of their respect and esteem for the character of their deceased comrade.
